  • Hi everyone, new user here, hope I’m posting in the appropriate place. Hoping to get back into riding fixed again after I unfortunately had to scrap an old road bike that I converted to fixed a few years back. I’m currently looking at the Planet X Roi de velo with the intention of changing the forks to a drilled fork that will accept a brake so I can ride it on the road for a fast runaround. However it does say on their website it’s purely designed for track usage not the road - how much of this is arse covering and would I be fine to ride it on the road? or am I genuinely being an idiot considering riding this bike on the road. It’s a carbon bike which I understand you can’t beat up as much (prepared to be corrected if I’m
Wrong about this) and I don’t want to spend money and end up trashing it within a few months due to inappropriate use. Thanks in advance.
