Got few different setup for the gangsta.
Crankset: omnium 48t/50t or sram force 42t
Rear cog is 20ss, 18fixedForks:
V1 fork brakeless
Carbon canti with 700c wheels fixed
Dmr compensated, 700c or 26"mtb
Fox, 26" wheelsRear:
700c fixed
26" ss or 9spdMy front wheel 700c has disc and rim together, so one wheel fits all fork despite being ugly.
My fav frame has it can handle different configuration

that part to fit a derailleur -

Do you mean you prise a 135mm rear wheel in, works fine, take it out, goes back to 120mm?
-
• #5979
absolutely straight to 120mm, no 121 or more. chainstays are super tough
Ideally having one hub with open bearing and swap cones for thinner one would be ideal, but no possible on crossmax

that's awesome, love that you can fit 27.5 wheels with enough clearance at the back, my v1 doesn't.
Is the rear brake attached with a plate?
-
• #5983
No, the V2 has a brake bridge. Which'll make it harder to spread, I guess.
-
• #5984
forgot about that difference with the v2

nice pompino

Don't understand why people with a Gangsta try and make it not a Gangsta. Am I missing something here?
-
• #5987
Agreed
-
• #5988
I don’t. The versatility is part of the attraction. I am sure the BMW people would approve of that bike.
-
• #5989
a pompino can be a gangsta and a pompino though
-
• #5990
In that case I might sell mine then.
-
• #5991
waits for 'sorry but thats NOTHING like a gangsta'

trying to find the video where John from Brooklyn talks about how they were designed to be super versatile, the v4 video shows that Austin guy riding through some woods on a Canti braked v4.
-
• #5993
That first one is great
-
• #5994
Yes they are versatile (maybe) but they are also £1000 frameset
-
• #5995
Seems a bit mad to make it not what it's designed for, horses for courses I suppose
-
• #5996
Haha yeah I agree making it an mtb is a tad far, wouldn't do it to mine

For sale in Japan

It’s just the frame btw, not the parts..
-

Super versatile but no bottle mounts. Sure.
Don't get me wrong, they're super fun bikes and I had a great time with the one I owned. But versatile they are not.

Would love it, but need another bike like a hole in the head.

That's my setup for mtb. 26" mavic crossmax wheel, max 1.9 tyres fit. Front compensated dmr fork with disc, or fox.
Front brake only, but good fun.
Spread those dropouts to fit 135mm is no trouble
