Has anyone used an Airport Express to transport audio? It looks like a good solution as I can attach a hard drive and send audio to a dac by toslink for my secondary system. Trouble is its already discontinued but it has recently had a firmware update to enable Airplay 2. I think Apple TV would do the same and is current, but it doesn't allow for attaching an external SSD and neither does my router without a NAS device.
