I'm not an expert but I have mine in the bathroom in a pretty shady spot and it appears to be doing pretty well. The bathroom gets very steamy and I only water it every couple of weeks.

It's more to do with light levels but yes, you need to water more in summer than in winter. This goes for all plants.

Probably left this a bit too late to ask but my ferns are looking a little worse for wear. I’ve owned them for ages and they were fine up until a few weeks ago. They’ve always been in the same position and I’ve not changed watering/feeding habits. What do people think? Maybe they need misting in the warmer months?
