I think I'd be tempted to just copy a Santa Cruz Chameleon. MTBs normally have gussets and braces and things like that, are you doing anything to cope with the extra forces compared to a road bike?
I haven't done the design up to now but yeah I'd want to add gussets and/or braces too
if you build it to the Marino geometry (which is perfection) I will pay you good money for it!
