That's similar to when the director of 1984 won an award and used his speech to excoriate the producers or studio who stuck that Godawful Eurythmics song onto the soundtrack. Imagine directing a serious, dystopian film that could have heralded Richard Burton's return to serious acting and the studio force you to have that load of old crap onto it.
