Follow the brake hose, up the seat tube, out the top of post (might need to drill a small hole) , stick the light to saddle rail mount, profit due to lack of wires.

That’s an idea. Thanks.

That's what I did with this, no brake hose to follow but same idea, also went through the front rack which was an absolute pain in the arse, connectors at the bottom of the seatpost in case you need to take it out.

Not got a pic of the light but epoxied it to something I got with a cheapo planet X light, has been abused for many years.

Thanks again, that’s very helpful

Thinking of changing my 650 hunts for 700c
Riding more road than heavy gravel -

Frame is painted by Vaz Finishes and logo is done by @Manson7am <3

Shouldn’t be less than, rather than at £300.

I've got a Singular Hummingbird in the garage. Great bike.
-
• #10861
isn't that an alu frame?
-
• #10862
no, full carbon
-
• #10863
other question: can you recommend using this 12mm to qr adapters? than i could look at a much bigger range of frames. really want to keep my existing wheelset
-
• #10864
If you mean changing the end caps on your hubs - this is totally fine.
There isn’t an adapter to allow QR only hubs to be fitted to a TA frame or fork, as far as I know.
-
• #10865
i mean the other way around. my wheelset is 12mm TA and i want to use it on a frame with QR dropouts
-
• #10866
Ah sorry, was making assumptions based on your newly arrive carbon frame.
Ideally use different hub end caps, this isn't even nearly a bodge and is totally cool. Otherwise, I have used the SON/Hunt 12mm->QR reducer insert and it was fine. Not sure about options for the rear hub though.
-
• #10867
Yeah unless you can convert your hubs, the rear is going to be too wide for the frame.
Adapters can work on the front though -
• #10868
ah perfect. thanks. got a son hub in the front, so thats sorted out and I also found a kit to change it for my novatech rear hub. thats good to see, so i can look out for some other frames now aswell.
@all
Any recommendations for a all steel bike, geometry like a a specialized awol or diverge, tire clearance for 700x48ish should be enough -
• #10869
Gorilla Monsoon?
-
• #10870
Kona Sutra also worth a look. Neither especially light.
-
• #10871
Neither especially light.
Neither was the AWOL, so it's still a good shout.
Monsoon is 650b tho rather than 700c, alternative is Soma Wolverine, and the Genesis Vagabond.
-
• #10872
Mmmm I am a big fan of the Vagabond. I'd sort of filed that under dropbar MTB in my head so didn't think about it, great shout
-
• #10873
700 x 48 is pretty much borderline dropbar MTB!
Kona Rove had been fitted with 29ers 2.1 tyres so that's another option.
-
• #10874
Vagabond looks good, such a shame that the croix de fer only has clearance up to 38mm
well just noticed that iam running 700x38 by now, maybe thats still fine. to be fair a do a lot of (light)gravel/pavement tours and occasionally go on double or singletrack...

Fugio will do 40c or more with 700s
The brake hose is internally routed.
