I recon it might work.
My secret to doing a sick fadez is to spray clear lacquer down first and fade the lightest colour onto that while it's still wet, You'll get a great gradient then. Definitely do a test card first though, so you know how much of a blend you want.
I've used this technique for a few years, worked well when we did a load of Le Creuset prototypes for a project, fading the orange into red.
The gunmetal is the backing for the candy maroon, so maybe?
Either way, it’s the two paints I have right now and fancied trying something else
