kinda regretting not impulse buying that Zenith 146. Would probably have suited my puny wrist well.
been meaning to get something nice and interesting as a belated 40th thing.
If anyone sees one around at a sensible price let me know.

Really like this piece and proportions seem perfect. Always liked the detail on the Zenith rotas too. Hodinkee grey one is nice, they do a brown too.

I looked into all this a couple of weeks ago as I thought the same thing with all the merchandise and so on but they said that even though the games are to take place in 2021, they will still be know as the 2020 Olympics. I mean that for more low-key stuff not necessarily watch and so on.
I tried to buy some stuff from the Olympic shop but you have to be domestic to Japan. Was looking at the Swatches on there.
The main things would be things like coins that have already been struck but won't go into circulation.
All the bullshit on eBay about what's my 50p worth but these are actually the ones.
Also red is a banger as said but always too big. If it's Asian market only sure they could have reduced the case size?? -

thats a beauty and was considering it when i was getting my Zenith. but it bugged me a bit that the circles are too close to the center making it a bit crosseyed!! and that its 38mm. i tried both the 38 and 42. it would be perfect in 40..

Has the sarx069 been discussed here? Anyone seen one? It looks like a really nice watch.

sarx069
I think I unfairly ignored it from the beginning, because it’s a recreation of a chrono design as a time only watch, it just struck me as a bit odd. Very unfair though, it is quite handsome.
The end links look like they’re stamped & folded rather than solid though, which can absolutely do one at that price point. -

Nice nice. Very quick postage. As with all turtles, looks bigger in photos on wrist than in real life. Very nice indeed. Very clearly worth the extra cost over a ‘normal’ turtle, just not it’s full RRP. But at $395, great stuff. Terrible photo. Will take a better one when it’s not grey outside.

That's lovely, does it work? Manual or auto?
-
• #43888
It’s a manual and so far so good, wound it up yesterday afternoon and left it on the desk - still ticking, still keeping time... @frankohara

For the first time in my life having a DAY and a date seems essential.
I like that .. I have the blue lagoon and gilt one ... go to watches when beach or city break with a dodgy rep is being visited .
I had an attempted hugga mugga in Barcelona before all this shut down .
I was wearing 2 wTches .. Apple Watch on left wrist .Iffy street .... should have known better -

Do any Omega experts out there know if the 20mm Speedmaster bracelets are compatible with the 20mm lugs on the 42mm 2500 Planet Ocean?
I like the look of UncleSeiko’s latest vintage style bracelets for the Speedmaster but can’t find a definitive answer on compatibility.

Hopefully saved significant damage to their wrist. Should buff out etc.

Those are some strong spring bars. I fell off my bike at under 20mph and it smashed the crystal, the spring bars, all the hands fell out and a lug embedded itself in my wrist.

could have had a strap re-fitted to be fair...

Great advertisement for ATGATT

the lack of crystal or hands was a bigger problem, also I think it killed the movement.
Those routes are fine
