I'd consider blue Bosch, but that's maybe not as common in the UK? I'm strictly Makita at home, but the Bosch stuff at work is at least as good and prices are roughly comparable. Haven't managed to kill a Bosch tool for years and I spend most of my days with one of their drills in my hand.
