So if he’s used this method a number of times before, why has this one tipped the scales over the threshold? I’d be inclined to politely point out that you were quoted a price, you paid up and now through no fault of your own you’re being asked to make up for his over-zealousness. It’s a steel bike frame, not a mirror.
