Hi there,
I posted my bike on ebay yesterday.
It's certainly from a "decent" maker - Condor, on Grays Inn Rd.
I'm not cool about me saying goodbye to it, but times are tough and i've now got to live with the decision... I've had it since new.
I'll send some pics if you think your friend will be interested? It's served me very well, light and very quick.
It's also the size your friend requires...
