Looks like for now, but the promo vid looks very much XCOM2 engine so I'd guess it'll end up on MacOS and Linux soon enough

Master Mode + Champions Quest?

Definitely worth trying out Master Mode, turned the main gameplay from a relatively generic hack'n'slash style to a more FarCry/MGSV outpost infiltration style.

It is a flat level increase in enemy levels which is a bit unbalanced as you get towards the more difficult encounters (there's a small outpost in Hebra with around 6 or 7 silver level enemies that I have no intention of taking on) but on the whole it's a worthwhile addition IMO.

Played Sea of Thieves last night. Enjoyed it a lot but probably only because I was playing with pals and being as obnoxious as possible (eating weird shit and getting buckets full of puke to throw at my teammates, trying to burn the boat down with everyone inside it etc). Can't imagine it'd be much fun playing on your own.

Still annoyed with the Mac OS upgrade that has stopped 32bit programs running, so many games on my Steam library that I just can't play now. XCOM being one of them, got into it when I first bought it but then stopped playing and feel like this would have been the perfect time to get back into it and waste a lot of time.

Just finished Dead Rising 4, which is apt in an outbreak.

Despite very negative reviews, I actually really enjoyed it. Story is a bit naff, but you can't beat walloping zombies with chairs and 2x4.

Is this Mojave > Catalina? I downgraded to Mojave after I found a bunch of stuff stopped working, might be worth giving that a shot.

Yep that's the one. I'd been able to leave it, but with the whole WFH thing work IT said I needed to update my MacBook fully. Quite a few games unplayable now. Was midway through a replay of Deus Ex: Human Revolution but can't play that anymore either which is a shame.
