  • It's already been "drying" for the best part of a month, I just haven't got around to trying anything else yet.

    I think you're right about the tracks, the two keys are on the same row obviously. I thought it might be a capacitor or something. I might poke about with it a bit more but guess it's dead as you say

  • If it's just those two keys and not any others it's likely to be contamination on the contacts on each key. You need to pull apart the layers and clean them.

    Whether this can be done without destroying it I don't know.

  • It is possible to pull apart the layers, but the contacts look okay to my untrained eyes. I notice there's a bit of discolouration on the tracks (green arrows). Broken keys are yellow arrows.

    I'll get something to clean it with (will meths + cotton swab work ?) and give it a clean between the layers I guess?
