  • I spilled water on this keyboard, now my 'C' and '\' keys don't work. Backslash is particularly critical. Can I fix it or does it have to be thrown away/not worth the effort?

    It's one of those Microsoft ergo things

    (Could rebind backslash to Caps Lock or something but I still need a C)

  • In my experience, it's basically toast. Probably one of the tracks has delaminated or something (How can this happen from water, I don't know)

    I would try and dry it out for a couple days, and if it doesn't work after that, mets le a la poubelle.

  • It's already been "drying" for the best part of a month, I just haven't got around to trying anything else yet.

    I think you're right about the tracks, the two keys are on the same row obviously. I thought it might be a capacitor or something. I might poke about with it a bit more but guess it's dead as you say
