I started off with an Epiphone Casino, but found I was doing most of my playing unplugged watching TV, and ended up with this. It’s MASSIVE compared to a standard electric. The chamber isn’t not far off a full acoustic but with the tear shaped sound holes it’s quite refined and muted. Plugged in also sounds great. For me it’s the best of both worlds, I don’t always have to plug it in and it plays as well as it’s sibling, the Strat. The Bigsby is fun too.
Yeah, as documented, I'm gagging to buy an archtop electric. I'm digging the florentine cutaway look on the Gibson ES175 style guitars. Just need some wedge to waste. I probably won't get any Trump bucks sadly....1200 to fritter on a bit of retail distraction would have been just the ticket.
