I started off with an Epiphone Casino, but found I was doing most of my playing unplugged watching TV, and ended up with this. It’s MASSIVE compared to a standard electric. The chamber isn’t not far off a full acoustic but with the tear shaped sound holes it’s quite refined and muted. Plugged in also sounds great. For me it’s the best of both worlds, I don’t always have to plug it in and it plays as well as it’s sibling, the Strat. The Bigsby is fun too.

I’ve a Gretsch G400 which is really nice to play on. Sounds full bodied and deep, just not as loud (volume wise) as a full acoustic. And it’s pretty.
