Ah, you're not trolling.
I am giving them away for free effectively, I am not wanting to post them.
Here is a mild rant, if I could be bothered posting:
Those rims are worth around £20 per rim on eBay in decent used condition.
Depending on time of year / demand / international postage options, it is realistic to achieve £50 for the pair of rims on eBay as they have no wear to the braking surface and would make a lovely, period correct wheelset.
I would charge around £20 for packing & postage (and recouping some of the fees) on eBay as it would need to be insured and MyHermes would 100% damage them.
Total would come to £70, minus 10% eBay fees, minus 5% PayPal fees = £59.50 after fees.
Minus £12 of true postage costs = £47.50 net money in my pocket. -

Sorry if I came across arsy.
No postage.
But by all means, if you know someone local who is willing to pick up, I would be happy to give them them rims.

In order to save on postage, I could cut the rims into 4 equal sections so the box would be smaller.
You would then need to weld them back together - quite an easy task.

Tell us the truth Vince, you are only doing this to show us your lovely ex gym flooring :) On a serious note dibs these, sending someone to pick up, how urgent is it for you?

Ah! I have a spare 6sqm of flooring if you are interested in that ;-)
They are hooked in the attic so no rush.
Keep in touch!
Hi all,
I have this spare set of Mavic GP4 tubular rims.
These were considered as "high end" back in the 1970's - Early 1980's.
36 holes, eyelets, so they are very strong and durable.
They have only been used on the track so no wear to the braking surface, but some glue residue and light scuffing linked to storage / usage. So not NOS unfortunately but a presentable set of rims.
They also bear "HAND BUILT IN DERBY BY MERCIAN" stickers so could be used for a Mercian project.
Yours for a forum donation of your choice.
Pick up only from New Cross.
