Surely one frame isn't a broad enough sample size for his pretty harsh comments?
Correct, and the cycling industry doesn't have as tight a tolerance as the motoring let alone aerospace industry; they simply do not have the budget.
Customers send him their worst frames, that's about it.
I tried to ask him to put closed captioning but he says it's too much work and someone should do it for him.

I think it's more likely the economics of bikes.
Nice Bike = £
Nice Car = £20 x Nice Bike
Nice plane = £200 x Nice CarAlso. BBs are like £25-£45. Even if you need to replace one every year. (even at a very reasonable £25 for LBS installation). So what? Bikes are consumables. Most of the cost of parts is operating costs for the mfg and the distribution chain.
The thing that I always though was a major plothole in a few of his videos is, he'll spend a good 40mins ripping into some bike company based on a single frame? Surely one frame isn't a broad enough sample size for his pretty harsh comments? Obviously you would hope that not that many frames with wildly out of spec dims make it out of qc, but some will. And yet he rips the shit out of some company for one dodgy frame?
