Nice one! Hope to see you on an LFGSS ride in the future! But until then, on here for next week's hill :)

Week 1 - 6-12 April, @Biggles567 wins in a very medium-hgih 82 GI, please sir pick another hill for next week ASAP (we are running out of time) regards lfgss
okie doke, well there's this, just round the corner from swains. Not as steep as last weeks, but a really nice quiet part of london. Sting (of the Police) lives just up the road, along with the uk's most expensive home right at the top of highate west hill.
Be wary around the corner, i rode up this almost every day on my way to work and rarely saw anyone, but still worth taking care.

Theres a few cool segments in this area that are worth a go, hopefully its not too far for people.

Great choice. Not one I've ever done or even seen.
See you all on here and Strava soon #dontstandsoclosetome -

Nothing like leaving it until last minute! Was never going to be winning the gear inch contest though at 47x17

Haha there's also the tandem that I've been threatening to make an appearance at Tuesday night hills on!

Ah yes!! Both pleaseee

Also worth pointing out that this is a private street. Usually it's not a problem and no-one challenges you, but who knows what people's attitude might be in these strange times.

Especially if you are at the top, lying down coughing your lungs up (which of course you should be)

Haha went there today, was really busy but that could just be because it's easter Monday.
Most people were pretty good about it, even cheering me on which was a nice touch.
I'll say early morning and a bigger gear ratio than what you should have done point hill with is key.
Oh and watch out for the half way speed bump! -

Oh and watch out for the half way speed bump!
Put in specifically for fixie-skidders on 50/14 going uphill, no doubt.
Weeelllll, then again, maybe also for brklss fixie-skidders in 50/14 going downhill. :)

52 14 today, heeded the advice of the above and went for it, thanks the heads up above, the speed bump in it is a little jarring
Although I've done swains 100+ times I've never been round these back roads of Highgate, serious neighborhood envy, it's like a picturesque corner of rural England, really nice pick

50/14 and on 650c wheels - 86''
Mostly quiet with a couple of pedestrians at the start so had to adjust.
Lovely climb and dreamy houses in a truly picturesque part of London. Thanks for the heads up on the speed bump @Grifffff, i had totally forgotten until i got to them!
Also totally unprepared and phone on 4% so unfortunatley no pic until I got home but I did get it on Strava :)Echoing @Josh01 - have been to Swains many a time but never these back roads, real nice pick @Biggles567!

Yeah it's a really cool spot, if you've got a spare 10 million kicking around, I'm sure it's a nice place to live. :)

Is that a frame that normally runs 700c wheels .And you currently on long drop front brakes ?
-
• #48
Good work, this sounds like a lot of fun and something I'll try when it comes back south.
Hopefully by then I'll have figured out how to do a Strava thingymajiggy as I'm a bit out of touch.

It just looks like long drop front brake caliper made me think it might be a 700c frame.
