On a 600D, which would be a better option for shooting stationary objects on a tripod or just in hand.

also, best budget strap combo for having it on the lower back when riding?

which would be a better option

If you're not going for a zoom but for a prime lens you should be figuring out what focal lenght would suit the stuff you usually shoot the most.
For most people this would probably be the 24mm.
