did you go for 650b wheels?
No, it's a 66cm frame :-)

• #125903
Nice, I'm quite tempted by the same

Will there be mudguards in the future?
It'll fit 45mm guards easily enough, so I might try them on at some point. This bike will mostly be out in the dry though, for those long sunny road rides that I might get to do sometime this year

Very nice pete

You'll need a chain tensioner due to your dropout unless you are willing to try out the different chainring AND rear cog set up to get the magic gear spot on.

I'm not clever enough to work these things out
Fortunately somebody else has already done it for you:

Perks of staying with my parents for lockdown... my sewing machine is here. New bar bag made last night, currently being tested by my dad delivering supplies to my nana. Many more projects planned.

Been wondering the same thing but the crimps in the chainstays are quite small, they don't extend very far so I am not sure you would even get as much clearance.

Well mine seem to be in the wrong place for 700c, anything above 700x35 on wide rims rubs on the chain stays just at the end of t crimp - was wondering if a. All Fugio like that or mine just wrong and b. If they’re actually in a better position for 650b. Need to try a 650b rear wheel I guess, with the high BB I thought it would be ideal to run 650b.

The end of the crimp closest to the BB shell? I have 38c g-ones on mine, 18mm internal I think and theres a bit of space still but not a lot. I imagine the chain stays are all the same length for each size? Yours is a big one though

Have we had that bike on the MGOOF thread yet?
-
• #125920
Not sure - think I posted it in CP chat when I was building it. It's a bit of a mish mash of parts but lovely to ride. It's a Columbus Thron Cavallo Marino.

38c G one AR came up 42mm on my rims, about a mm or 2 clearance but rubbed when out of saddle/no room for any mud.
Think my rims are 24mm internal.

No sorry, only 700. I have 42c in mine though. Was only tight on the seatstay bridge but I removed that.
-
• #125923
That's lovely. Minus 0.5 point for the pedals though.
-
• #125924
Thanks, and fair enough. It is a dadbiek though!

Ye I remember you sending me the picture with 42s in, weird that the seatstay bridge is the issue, it does not look like it would be the issue for me, with the 38s the chainstays are much closer.
@TM I guess that the rim width is having a big impact or less likely, there is some differences in the frame production
Lovely! Very clutter-free. Will there be mudguards in the future?
