there's an elderly fella working the door there this morning who looks like he just stepped out of a 1920's gangster movie, seeeee.
3 piece suit, fedora, gold rings.. he also has some pretty iffy opinions about young black men that had me yikes-ing all the way home.
think i'll stick to the saino's from here on in.

Sweden's death rate ramping up now, report I read talked of full restaurants on Stockholm last week-seems surreal with everything that's being done elsewhere and the deaths that are still coming.

That’s scary, where is the chart from? Declined an invite to a sauna party yesterday- 20 peeps + kids crammed into a place meant for 5 people, no thanks

FWIW I remember some chat on previous pages about fatalities per capita being a bit useless as a metric until it's all over.

Meh, the virus mostly spreads locally, the relevant communities are cities, towns and households. The person-million’ graphs aren’t junk, it is what it is. Imagine what ‘San Marino’ or ‘London’ would look like.
I think logarithmic graphs with ‘days since X deaths’ are maybe a better single illustration?

There are people squeezing past locally too but I'll save my energy for government fuckups tbh.
I've made a full face binliner / plastic faceshoeld / coffee filter one way valve / old cloth mask, I can always scare them off with that if it gets too much.

Wtf sauna party? That is next level insanity...
Having said that, I could really do with going to a Korean sauna today...

I think I read the Government got the Bank of England to print them £40bn to cover the cost, its basically a money supply policy and will never be paid back. Milton Friedman will be turning in his grave.

Isn't Tesco closed today?

Didn't bother to read the whole thread because the whole premise is wrong. Measuring deaths per 100,000 of the population is meaningless at this stage.
-
• #10200
That exact point is addessed in the thread.
