Don’t worry their report will be peer reviewed and published in a highly respected medical journal...rite?
Rite?
I mean, a Supercomputer was used of all things.

Of course the key factors are health, age and genetics.

Key factors in the number of cases... for countries with not enough testing capacity is ... testing capacity.

She makes my skin crawl and my eyes spin like a slot machine.
The day she gets canned I’ll be there to celebrate it. Nasty, nasty person.

So she can’t actually apologise about PPE shortages she’s just sorry if people believe there have been PPE shortages (implying that they are wrong)

surely you can do what you like in your own garden
What a dickEdit: I thought he was saying Caitlin Moran was breaking the rules in her own garden. I now realise she was in someone elses garden. Lynch her.

Switzerland is planning on reducing the restrictions from April 26 after 3 weeks of lockdown, as the number of hospitalisations (and ICU usage) appears to have peaked. They're still using very careful language though, and no details on which restrictions exactly they're planning on removing when.

Some horrible stories going around of police telling young families in the gated gardens of their own housing estate to go indoors, people doing yoga being smirked at, police vans driving through parks as children try to play. Police are clearly getting it wrong and being cunts alot of the time, but all the times when they approach it correctly don't make headlines. For balance, some non-police people being cunts:

It feels like just a collective tut across the whole country.. curtain-twitchers tutting at dog-walkers, dog-walkers tutting at runners, runners tutting at born-again joggers, joggers tutting at park-users. .. can’t we all just come together to aim all our passive-aggressive disdain towards Caitlin Moran?

The police keep stressing a similar point to this, which is that inconsiderate arseholes, paranoid finger pointers, and ill-informed, over zealous cops get in the news / social media, make good click bait and get shared. The millions of people staying patiently at home and the empty motorways and the quiet shifts many police are having are not in the news. Overall reported crime has dropped significantly.

The worst thing is these God awful breakfast news programs which just add fuel to the fire. Like a curtain twitchers crack pipe. They are all as bad as each other imo.
Definatelty stretching etiquette in the outdoors!

is there any data summing up how much the recently announced government measures will cost the country ?
speaking specifically about the wages bailouts offered to employees, self employed etc or anything going to the people
have the office of national statistics done any modelling or any other economic groups / thinktanks ?
More aerosol spread modelling, this time of a shopper´s cough in a supermarket, from Aalto University in Helsinki.
https://www.aalto.fi/en/news/researchers-modelling-the-spread-of-the-coronavirus-emphasise-the-importance-of-avoiding-busy
Before we get too carried away, let´s bear in mind that this and the Dutch-Belgian modelling that I linked to upthread was carried out by enginerds, with some input from infectious disease boffins in the Finnish one.
