  • The kee systems stuff is great and what I'd recommend if you hadn't have already found it. You can make literally anything out of it if you're looking for the industrial look or not that concerned about the overall look. Pair it with cheap laminate worktops or scaffold boards and you have a near indistructable desk (I should know I made a series of them many moons ago as temporary desks for baggage handling team leaders at Heathrow) the temporary desks lasted for 6 months the bespoke, heavy duty, custom build ones that replaced them (and cost 5 times as much) lasted 2 before they needed replacing.

  • Cheers. Kee it is. I'll do a few sketches/measurements in the morning and pop an order in.

No interest in what it looks like. Just needs to be solid and the bonus is that it can be assembled on site. I never got around to doing a proper staircase up to our loft so I have a tiny hatch and a flimsy metal ladder.

The loft itself is pretty sorted. Large space / head height throughout / solid floors / velux on both sides / electricity / plasterboard / desiccated flies - the works. But access is a pig so I need something I can bring up in parts (and then take down again assuming work ever picks up and we're not locked indoors for the rest of the decade).
