• We’re looking for a shoe rack/cupboard, upright able to hold 20 plus (ideally) shoes. Not too deep, and decent looking. Think Ikea not bespoke prices.
Missus wants something and she’s shown me an ugly stackable plastic box thing, which even if it’s a placeholder makes me want to gouge my eyes out.
If anyone has any suggestions let me know..

  • Yeah looking for something upright, a bit like this..

Though missus has said she doesn’t like the look of it.
Her preferred one is hideous plastic boxes.

I see a shoe rack stalemate in my future.

  • (Kind of OT - but inspired by above)

That is very cool - took note last week and was inspired to try to (at least temporarily) come up with something similar, which ended up not similar at all, for under the stairs in our hallway. Built this from free/scrounged stuff: old veg crates, teak shelves, old drawer runners, broken trellis and (annoyingly warped) pallet wood. Probably not a permanent fixture and the runners aren't (yet) as smooth as I'd like due to the rather rubbishy warped wood not quite allowing square sides. But it'll do for now:

No room for my stuff though - Mrs c00ps and the kids have filled it!

And I still prefer those gym benches in your link and shall probably have a look for more permanent alternatives once we escape all this!
