Assuming by previous tricks you mean you've tried a different charger, different cable, plugging into a computer USB socket, holding down both the power and the home button and the same time (normally after 10-15 seconds it would force a restart if it has any charge) and trying to charge again...
If none of those work, then I can’t think of any more tricks, however, it would be worth taking it to an Apple shop when that becomes an option. Even for things out of warranty they have been pretty helpful in my experience. I was once quoted £80 for an iPad battery replacement, although they said that because they can’t actually replace the battery, they would give me a replacement refurbished version of the one I had taken in. That was for a 4ish year old device.
Hope you can get it sorted.
I bought my daughter a used iPad for Xmas. Now it won't charge, it's been a bit temperamental previously but I can't get it to work with any of the previous tricks. Is it now just an expensive thin brick or is it worth taking it somewhere when we are out of lockdown?
