Is it going to look shit on a BIG telly? Or will I just think "FUCKING MARIO KART! YAY!"?

Pretty much every TV still has a composite input that'll work the same, unless you're using a monitor or a projector or summint.

Can i run a 11-34T cassette with a standard SRAM Rival 22 WiFLi rear derailleur?
-
• #101530
I think they're rated to 32t, but you may get away with it depending on your frame. You might be able to get an idea by dialing the B limit screw right in and seeing how much space you've got from your current big sprocket to the guide pulley.

I've played it on a 32" recently and thought it looked pretty good.

On a steel frame, I've had my local framebuilder tap the damaged threads out to Italian and then epoxy in an Italian-to-BSA convertor (like a very thin helicoil).

What’s the smallest ring a 7800 front derailleur can comfortably shift? 44-34 should be ok, no?
And with the different cable pull between rd and mt front derailleurs, that’s more of an issue between the small and middle cog on mt cassette, correct? A road front derailleur should be able to shift between the big ring and middle ring on a mt crankset?
So boiling down my stupid questions, a 7800 front derailleur should be able to shift a XT 737 crankset when there are only two rings and it’s being operated by a road shifter?

Define "comfortably". The smallest outer ring in the 7800 series was 50T, that's a 12mm bigger radius than a 44T.
It would probably work if the chainline was right, but it wouldn't be pretty and there's a higher than normal chance of throwing or jamming the chain. The chainline is is a separate issue. In theory, the M737 middle ring is at 47.5mm, but the 7800 outer is at 47.5mm. If you wanted to get the chainline on an MTB crank to replicate that of a road crank, you'd actually use the inner and middle positions, not the middle and outer. An FD-7800 is probably never going to reach the stock outer ring on an FC-M737, and if it does it will be so far into the arc of travel that it's going downwards rather than sideways when you initiate a downshift.

I’ve run 48s TA rings with 7800 no problem, wasn’t sure if 44 would be too decreased a circumference. That’s the issue right? The arc of the derailleur matching the arc of the rings?
I’ve used 7800 shifters to pull a XT front derailleur and seem to remember it was the small middle that was giving me issues due to cable pull matching the gaps. I could fudge chai line to a degree with a different BB I figure?

fudge chai
would not

That's what will make your shifts less pleasant and more prone to failure even if you fix the chainline

Good luck with that. The FC-M737 is supposed to use a 107mm BB, and if you want to bring the outer ring in to a road chainline you need to move it 8mm, i.e. you're looking for a 91mm BB 😮
The alternative would be to find a 34T×58mm PCD ring, which is just as improbable as a 91mm BB but at least it's technically feasible as a special order item from somebody like Gebhardt.

Ahh for some reason (probably the specialized TI bb that’s sitting in the box with it) I thought it was supposed to me mated to a 110 bb.
This is mostly just bored during Covid tinkering.

Options were 107mm for a 47.5mm chainline or 113mm for a 50mm chainline. There's nothing technically wrong with splitting the difference 🙂

There’s also a ton of adjustability with these BB cups, there’s a possibility it was pushed a little bit either way.

Mix and match chanirings... fine? Brief google search seems to suggest it's A okay.
Going for B.O.R 50t and Sram 34t.
EDIT: for 11 speed.

If I've ordered something online and paid via PayPal and the seller requires you to call them to cancel, can you just cancel via PayPal?
-
• #101543
No. Last time I tried this Paypal ruled against me, since there was no dispute. And you can't dispute again if the seller does screw you over later.

Thanks it was from Curry's and I spent an hour and a half on hold only to be dropped . So was just wondering if there was a faster online route.

Just removed my drive side Middleburn R01 on UN55 for a clean and found this washer behind. I don't remember installing it and can't see what purpose it serves, being a square taper BB it can't be for chain line... Is this likely to be part of the crank assembly or the BB, and what's it for?

Hoselock 2304 (about £6 b&q or eBay) is the fitting specific for this thread and it works an absolute bloody treat
-
• #101547
It's part of the BB, not sure what is is used for though...
