not sure if i've missed it already on the thread but do any of our european friends on here have similar tales to the way the NHS is being treated atm but in their own country? I.e. wierd fetishization via clapping and 'hero' status whilst blatently failing to address the broader political pressure the nhs has been under? Are we just a nation of tory toadies or has it generally been a wierd 'hero' thing across other countries?
It's sort of similar in the Netherlands, but less extreme in both fetishization and failing to address stuff. There's some clapping going on and we could have spent more on healthcare but not as much as in the UK from what I gather.
