  • I'm in the same position, I love my Challenge Strada Bianca 36c, but pricey, slightly fragile and wear quickly (~1000km at the rear).

I put faith in some cheap Clement Strada 32c, I slashed one after 40km and the remaining one is proving to be slow on road, not grippy at all on tarmac, half decent on gravel - when not slashed.

Keen to hear about the Override.

    Other options:

    1. Ritchey Alpine - anyone tried these?
    2. Goodyear County - No stock in sight

Unfortunately Gravelkings seem the most sensible option when looking at tires.

  • I have the Ritcheys, impressed with road speed and puncture resistance. Seemed OK on gravel but most miles on road tbh. Would buy again.
Conversely though I've had a few pairs of Clement Stradas and thought pretty good for price, but yes slow on road.
GKs I sold within weeks, punctured a number of times.

  • I'm used to Conti 4seasons, and the Clement compound doesn't offer even a fraction of the grip, yet it seems to wear quite quickly. But I agree that you get what you pay for.

  • Also, which Ritcheys do you refer to, the Comp or WCS/Stronghold?
The latter is twice as expensive.
