  • I like it apart from the huge crown guard

  • My friend is trying to get a watch forum going.
If anyone fancy checking it out - https://watchchat.co.uk/
It’s very early days but hopefully it’ll take off. All other watch forums are using really annoying software and hopefully, this will be different.

  • Not that its hugely important but all 2020 releases from Rolex and Tudor are postponed until further notice.

    Patek waiting till 2021.

  • The official Timex website is non-stop sales if you sign up to their mailing list. They always have some type of voucher or discounted lines.

  • Damn! Won't be able to pick up a rolex GMT... OH WAAAAAIT...

  • I know this is the standard response but was looking forward to a potential Tudor switch, to replace my Harrods, depending on the offerings. Don't really know why they've not planned to release them online as you can't get hold of them anyway. Maybe they can make hologram projections for the shop windows...

  • Tudor should be fine... Or you saying you wanted the latest Tudor?

  • Not sure they will make a nicer edition than the Harrods either.

That or the OG Pelagos. 🤪

  • That is a thing of beauty - is it the 1033? Think that one would be pretty much top of my wish list - only concern is if it's the 1950 Luminor case then it's too big for me - I'd end up smashing it against every door frame out there.

Yeah, thinking about letting the 177 go - it's still my favourite watch and I love it, but i'm trying to be sensible about things (got a second kid on the way) and am having a bit of guilt about having a wodge of money tied up in manbangles. The Tudor was a wedding present from the wife, so that's not going anywhere, and the Bremont is a good daily wear that I don't wince too hard if it gets banged around. The Panerai i'm a bit more careful with, it's the most expensive watch i own and i suspect my life is only going to get more mucky etc as my kids grow up. so it's the sensible one to get rid of. But. It's awesome and it's also the watch that was on my wrist when my daughter was born, so....

TLDR - first world problems are first world problems.

  • I am on the list for the harrods, who knows what happens with all this madness.

The rumour was a bunch of new ‘colourways’ for the bb58. Have to wait another year.

  • I'm hoping to pick up a Black Bay bronze when All This™ clears up and normality returns.

  • My unintended transition into @Howard carries on at a pace.

MK1 aluminium Timex from the liberty sale arrived today.
Might switch straps to a moody Erika.

  • Tudor is such a tall watch though...

I can never keep up with Panerai's naming convension.. But yes, it is :-) Or at least thats the one I want.

We all have that issue... Its a bad time to have money tied up in manbangles. Just dont know how many will be able to let go until the pressure is on.

But as life gets mucky, manbangles go into safes with neclaces and rings. Held on for a later date. Special occations.

But if its an issue, do what you feel is right. Sell the rugrat. Problem solved, you keep the PAM

TLDR - first world problems are first world problems.

    Innit

  • That's why I wanted to see new offering. Either updates to the BB58 or even the smaller 36mm. I love the Harrods but I just can't get away with the height.

  • I can confirm that smashing them against door frames is not recommended. I’ve had my PAM005 since 2007 and have woken up drunk to a non working watch and a bill of £400+ and again smashed it against a door frame and flattened the crown guard. That bill was close to £600,

Still mine was a wedding present bought off Paneristi.com from a guy in the US back when it was $2 :£1.

    I can’t complain

  • Spinnaker are doing their titanium Tesei for $299 with wordwide postage if anyone is interested.

    https://www.spinnaker-watches.com/collections/tesei-titanium/products/sp-5061-01

  • I like that. Looks like a Halios Seaforth homage.

  • I want to like Spinnaker, but I can't help but feel they all look like franken homages

  • My holiest of grails has turned up. Which doesn't happen very often. Why now, watch Gods? Why now!?

  • That is your grail watch? I guess at least it is attainable.

  • That's stunning! I really like the "tuxedo dial" Rolexes

  • Mad Men. Roger Sterling. Etc etc. 1959-1965. Important time for design for me.

  • I do think it might be a bit small though only comes in 36 I think
