Luxury day off, today. Lie in until 6:30 (instead of 5) and no childcare obligations until 12.
So I did an hour's recon around telegraph hill, and the fun gravel path at nunhead cemetery, followed by cannonbie.
There are some nice stretches but not sure how much traffic they get on a usual day so impossible to know if it would make a good alt-hills route yet.
