Anyone who uses a report from someone else's engineer is an idiot.

What if there are mistakes?

The EAs are being idiotic too. And self-interested, but I guess that goes without saying.

Of course it cannot be relied on but it will be a good indication as to whether the beams are under or oversized as the houses are identical.
