  • I had a Motorola Merckx on eBay for a few months at a very ambitious price but it didn’t go so I gradually reduced it and it ended up going for a price I was happy with even though the tactic didn’t work that time. Possibly annoying for people who offered me that initially but what did I owe them? It wasn’t taking up vital space and it took next to zero effort from me to maintain the listing so it was always worth the gamble

  • Yeah, of course. It's not annoying unless I want someone to sell me something for less than it's worth, I guess! With 30 day listings and reduced seller fees it's far easier to just stick a load of stuff on and leave it.

  • the ones from the caad12 ? shifters+derailleurs+?

  • Caad12 is ultegra now! Etap hrd has dropped to £899 now so I'm selling some stuff to get that.

    I'm selling:

Red 22 shifters, aerolink brakes and mechs
    Stayer 60/50, novatech hubs

They were all on my supersix until I sold it and are now just sat in boxes in the bike room.

  • Etap hrd has dropped to £899 now

    link?

  • Chain reaction. Post mount only but 899 with the extra10 code.

  • SRAM and stayer pictured here. Buy the Saeco frameset off Dammit and you got yourself a tasty little HHSRB.

  • ah shit. Was hoping I could squeeze in a 32c. looks like quite a bit of space between the edge of the 28c and the chainstay? Or am I misunderstanding how the 32c will size up?

  • id be interested in the gearset combo, pm me, I actually have a caad7 in the pipeline

  • New stem and seatpost. PM pedals on another bike atm, but total weight (with pedals) about 6.5kg.

  • Sweet, looks fast!

Are the conti 5000 as thick and heavy as the 4000?

  • Very nice!
Any on the weight of the wheels?

  • @e54 tyres are about 225g each, wouldn’t say they were particularly thick.

@GoatandTricycle wheels are quite chunky @ 1650g. I want to get some shallower wheels that are a bit more manageable in the wind. 40mm should come in @1450g ish...

  • If you do decide to sell those wheels, I'm interested!

    Nice bike by the way!

  • tempted to go 2x on the carbonda with the. middleburn sub-ccompact I have .. lemme check the braze on height

  • I'm talking fork clearance... no way would I have got anything bigger than a 28 in there... frame maybe a 30, depending on the brand variance....

  • ah yeah in my eagerness I hadn't looked at the fork... doh

  • Done nearly 500k on this total. Seatpost is slipping, headset keep coming loose, something is creaking and my teeth are rattling out my head, but god damn its fast

  • Fibre grip

  • Fibre grip

    in the headset

  • in the headset

If it’s carbon steerer then on the bung and on the stem... you got a better suggestion?

  • I paid £400 for my 2013 HM team edition in 2015, on eBay.

  • Got some on bung but will try on stem/steerer interface too

  • Also wouldn't mind some wide, 11 speed wheels as well if anyone has some for sale. These are 10 speed and 15mm internal

  • Don’t be afraid to tighten up the bung - if you pop the cap off after securing the stem and tighten a bit more it might help. Had a nightmare before with FSA bung.
