I have been reading about the treatment of Covid 19 patients in Germany and how they need longer ventilation and higher pressures than with Influenza. The longer it goes on the more you are
exposed to risk of secondary infections and longer lasting damage to the lungs from the pressure.
This is not trivial at all and you don't just walk out of there in a few days.
