Ireland is testing many more people as well, so you can have a look at their death rate per a million people VS the UK as well, for comparison.
Of course, there are other factors. In cities it spreads easier, Italy/Spain have relatively more cases in older people which means more deaths, and Germany also does community follow ups and sends people earlier into hospital in some cities, so they won't be as ill.
In general though, 1000 people tested when the are already badly ill VS 1000 people tested when they are asking for a test is going to result in a higher relative death rate.

Exactly - I only mentioned the much higher rate of testing before, but you're right of course, even with the same number of tests it depends on who you're testing.
Depends... if it creates a 'domino' effect.
