There's a simple Tetris style website which does it for you.
You draw the shape of the garden then add objects (ie trees, fence, buildings) and it shows you the sunfall.

Seems to spaz on my phone, but when I used it, it was on a desktop PC and worked perfectly.
I’m re landscaping our garden at the moment and trying to work out the best spot for a veg patch and greenhouse.
We’ve got trees on all side and I can’t work out which part of the garden gets the most sun.
Is there such a thing as sensors I can put in/on the ground to measure daily hours of sunlight over s period of time?
