It feels like we are living one long bank holiday weekend. What’s not to like?

I was supposed to be at a wedding in Finland this weekend. With the bank holidays, that would have made for an ideal weekend away + time to relax after...

This weekend is going to be a damn waste of bank holidays.

I mean, it’s a total first world problem given that I’m still employed/getting paid and I’ve not really got any work to do but I’d taken fri, mon and tue off and had hoped to get away for some camping which it’s looking like the weather would have been good for.

To make it even more first world the daft way our leave works means taking public holidays at Easter doesn’t cost you any leave (you have to claim the leave/pay back if you work then) so I’m only really missing out on 1 day, the Tuesday, but it’s still a bummer.

I’ve got another couple days booked at the end of the month and then a load in June for a holiday (to northern Italy!) that we’ve cancelled so hopefully we are back at work by then as we’re not being allowed to cancel any leave while “working from home”.

Yes, we were supposed to be in Girona for partner's birthday. Suck my nuts, Corona.
