Even if a dog is safe, do other people's preferences count for nothing?
Not everyone wants a dog humping their leg/slobbering over them, running around their feet etc. In non-corona times when I used to occasionally eat a snack or whatever on the grass in the park, you're practically always disturbed by some twat's "friendly" dog sticking their nose in your crotch or your food.
When I used to work in schools, quite a few children were scared of dogs.
Genuine question: is this largely because you're nervous around dogs?
I have been looking after/walking someones dog as she can't in the current situation and my opinions about how well behaved he is are at odds with hers... He is perfectly safe but will try and say hello to anyone/everyone so I have been keeping him firmly on the lead.
