  • Been using split rings on my Sidi's for about two years, still going strong.

@pdlouche That top bag looks fucking awesome! How are you strapping it to seat? You making? Would totally want one for short trips/day bag.

  • Now that I’ve more or less sussed the design I might make them to order, yea. I’ll have to buy new materials though - thanks to the current situation a lot of my recycled material locations have dried up.

I still have a bit of (prospective) work that people are waiting for, that I haven’t made because of being unwell. I need to get that done so people can pay me! After that maybe I can take new orders.

The back has the various webbing loop points, the bag straps down to the seat by the grab rails or by placing straps under the seat itself. That way you can unclip it on the sides and remove quickly and easily. There’s no carry strap per-se, so it’s not a convertible tailbag/backpack or anything. But that wouldn’t be too tough to add somehow.

Here’s one made from two textile moto jackets (Frank Thomas back panel for front and sleeves for sides, AXO for back) with new cordura lining, for a mate.

  • That's amazing Would be up for one with basic backpack straps. Give me a shout when things cool down a little.

@PhilDAS Doable, but there's a few variables that need to be considered which makes it a faff. You can technically fit any wheel you want, but there will be machining of spacers that needs to be done to axle and calipers.
Going with the right one (from other Suzuki's of a certain generation) means it'll just be a bolt on jobbie with no mods.
