Yeah - I thought it was a bit overreaching... "We're all in it together at this difficult time...". It read like they were more triggered with the chance of successful control freakery tbh. I didn't notice yesterday was particularly smoggy compared to any weekend last year but obviously I'm not sensitive to it.
Maybe I'm wrong and it's a reasonable request.

I'm assume the local asthma sufferers are doing quite well due to the general reduction in diesel and petrol fumes. Although the ones that are triggered by hay fever not so much.
