Surely that depends on how close your local park is? Not everyone has one on their doorstep. Parks are the best place to go to get exercise and maintain social distancing, keeping them open should be a priority, especially in London and other large cities.
By all means enforce social distancing and split up groups and move people on who are just hanging out, but if this lockdown is going to go on for the medium term, you need to allow people to get outside and keep healthy. Not everyone has the luxury of a garden either.

I didn’t say close the parks. I said police people driving to them to hang out. It’s possible to get a bit of exercise in the vicinity of home. You know it is. Most of us are doing that with no problems, socially distancing and not taking the piss out of the guidelines. Those who can’t resist pushing it are now putting all of our basic liberty to get some air at risk.
Further to that your particular argument doesn’t account for the majority of people in central London who don’t have cars.
Nobody is saying people who are in the vicinity of a bloody park shouldn’t jog through it.
Reading your response again it seems we’re essentially saying the same thing - clamp down on people not simply taking basic and responsible exercise before prohibiting us all from getting out a bit. Worryingly I think the minority may have already fucked it for the rest of us.
People just shouldn’t be driving to fucking parks to hang out! I don’t understand why gov guidelines can’t just explicitly say that. Stretch your legs from your own home or >>>>>>
(Not you obvs I mean the collective ‘you’)
