Surely that depends on how close your local park is? Not everyone has one on their doorstep. Parks are the best place to go to get exercise and maintain social distancing, keeping them open should be a priority, especially in London and other large cities.
By all means enforce social distancing and split up groups and move people on who are just hanging out, but if this lockdown is going to go on for the medium term, you need to allow people to get outside and keep healthy. Not everyone has the luxury of a garden either.
I’ve run thru Greenwich Park a few times this week and cycled thru an hour ago. Really hasn’t been too bad, only saw one picnic today, and that was clearly one family. People have finally sussed they can walk on the grass rather than clog up the paths. Still lots of cars at Deer Park Gate mind.
