No, but current events make us wish we did!

We have Blackheath and Greenwich park literally right outside our front door so no shortage of outside space. It's a big change to our lifestyle to be spending so little time outside. I reckon we've averaged 30 minutes outside each day over the last two weeks or so.

I'd have traded a kidney for a garden to have a bbq and a beer today. Totally understand that the park is all that some people have.

I'm not offended by seeing people in the park. The vast majority of people i saw today were doing their best to distance themselves. Its just frustrating to see so many people who haven't clicked that they should be limiting time outside to an absolute bare minimum and clearly are not.

I appreciate the guidelines are vague and a household sitting on the grass for a couple of hours isn't an issue. I do worry it becomes more of an issue when you have 500 households sitting on the grass, even if there is theoretically 2m between them.

It was a brilliant answer mate. Definitely informative. My Dad used to paint all the fences and multiple sheds with old sump oil. It's a very effective preservative, also, I assume fecking dangerous.

Didn't everyone's dad use old oil? To be fair I can't imagine it's much/any worse than creosote given that its a mix of distilled tars from my understanding

Queensland's new cases yesterday went down to single digits, terrific news... The numbers have been going down gradually but dropped very sharply over the weekend, hope that isn't an aberration...

The weekend anomaly ... That's probably down to less tests being taken processed or whatever.

Greenwich park is the worst I've seen (within running distance of deptford) for complete failure of social distancing, I've had to stop going there because of all the groups of clearly different families hanging out & having a chat, blocking all the crossings.

Strange, I thought Greenwich Park was pretty quiet yesterday, particularly given the nice weather. It was largely dog-walkers, joggers and parents with very young children. Nowhere near as busy as you would normally expect.

Interestingly, the Police were stopping people parking on the roads around the Park, which suggests the problem is not locals (who by and large love and respect the Park), but people who drive in from out of the area.

Driving to a park thats SO well connected with public transport is the most cunty thing to do in London.

Perhaps the police sorted it yesterday then (I didn't go that way yesterday) - it's been ridiculous for the last week & a half though!

I am genuinely impressed about how such a simple message can be bungled so badly.

The lack od awareness required to not realise that other countries near to us have tried gentle guidelines and found that they do not work is staggering.

Regarding the tanalised stuff, we are talking about the green stock no? I only know it by the Finnish term painekyllästetty, which means pressure impregnated. From what I´ve heard they burn it in a power station in Germany, at least the stuff collected in Finland. What sorts of temperatures are we talking about?

If you make a rule then you are responsible when it's repeatedly broken. If you give guidelines then who is first to blame if those guidelines are not followed? Not suggesting that's what is happening in this instance. :) Oh and those pesky millionaire footballers too.

My OH and I often go for walks along the waterfront near our house, it was busier than I've ever seen it today... We had to drive a few kms up the road to find a quiet enough spot...
