Down to the last two packs of eggs in Sydenham Saino, both of them quails eggs and I just bought one of them.

The weather really is a bit problematic right now.
Quite some self control to not just go out, buy beers (and start smoking again).
And I really take the whole thing quite seriously, imagine how it is for all the its only flu people.

Never thought that my major concern of the day(s) would be scheduling multiple Zoom calls each evening. Not just for us (as a family) but for my 10yo.

Thank you for making these points so clearly and strongly. With more people at home, Wood stoves, barbeques and garden fires all over London are making people with underlying health conditions even more sick, and more vulnerable. I'm recovering from fume inhalation at work and really struggling with it.

I had hoped that my earnest request to jackbepablo was factual, informative,
and positive in offering an alternative (eventual) solution to the disposal of old fence panels and sheds. I realise this is now sounding a bit too earnest,

I try to do my bit to help people who will not know the continuing risks

Melamine / Formica is really shit.

You know your stuff! Nothing should really be burned by householders, or anyone else. Air pollution kills more people than smoking cigarettes, and wood burning is in the top two causes along with transport emissions.

On a positive note: I got an unescessary furnace at an industrial estate where I work shut down as it was slowly killing workers. Also had a really positive response from local councillors where I live on stopping bonfires during the coronavirus crisis.

They also sent home the 15 boys who had broken into the 5 a side pitch for a match.

The social distancing guidelines have been delivered in such an ambiguous way that its easy for people to convince themselves that they are being reasonable.

I reckon we'll be on a similar lockdown as France in a few days.

If you look at the area brockwell park serves, there's not many green spaces that are easily accessed by people.

Add in perception of risk, the population most at risk, sunshine, and "experts", and people being inside most of the time.
It's not difficult to see why it happens.
It's not easy.but still. It's a bit maddening.

Good point. Obviously it's fine to burn scouts, youth groups etc as long at the fire is contained.

I caught the end of an interview with a nurse on the radio earlier. She said that her colleagues were finding it disheartening to see people out and about for non essential reasons.

To paraphrase, "what fucking part of stay at home do people not understand?"
