  • Hey, got this 2010 Medium size Lapierre Spicy 216 under my bed and it simply never gets used. Shame as it was my pride and joy at one point. It's ready to ride out the door (although not sure with which pedals, I'll have to dig some out - no promises there). Last time I rode it was last summer and it felt as good as ever to ride back then, the bike climbs really well for one with that much travel.

It's got all the wear of a bike that old, but is mechanically sound and chock full of high end parts generally in great condition (although a little muddy/dusty). Shove a dropper tube on there and it'd be so much more fun. . This frame was way ahead of its time in terms of the slack head angle and longer wheelbase.

    So off the top of my head, it's basically;
Lapierre Spicy 216 Med with Fox Float R shock (serviced in the last three years). 6" travel with sag indicator
    CHris king headset
Fox Float R forks, 6" travel, no marks on the stanchions (these go on ebay for about £200 alone atm)
Hope Evo2 hubs laced to tubeless Stans ZTR Flowex rims
Saint rear disc 180mm rotor, goodridge hose
XT front disc, 200mm rotor (spare pads somewhere I think too)
XT mech, XT cranks I think although they're a bit worn.
    SDG saddle
    Spank bars and nukeproof stem

If someone was bothered it would be worth a lot more in parts, I think for £350 that it's worth it just for the wheels, forks and the XT groupset :P

Come give it a ride (at a distance) in peckham.

    UPDATE:

    • it's now based in Hackney, I didn't find a seller before my move so it came with me
    • they're 26" wheels
    • 18" frame (bb centre to top of seat tube)
    • 21.5" TT length
    • I can measure more lengths if people want.
    • I've always thought it was slightly too large for me, I'm 5'9". Previous owner was 6'2" and it was a little large for him.
    • Price is firm.
    • I will post but probably not until all this blows over.

  • I know it's a bad time to sell a bike, but I'm surprised this hasn't gone yet - cracking price for the spec!

  • Thanks yeah bad timing! I'm moving house at the weekend so could use it gone, hence the good price :)

  • Still available... :)

  • I remember everyone going nuts over these when they first came out.

  • If this was a large I'd be sorely tempted.

  • Hello, I'm looking for a friend; would you accept £300? Looking to collect, based in Crystal Palace...

    Thanks!

  • Tell your friend to dig down the back of the sofa this is a steal at £350

  • I hear that! I think he's digging already

  • Ok - £350 it is! Going to PM...

  • If this was near me I'd be spending cash I don't have to get it, looks sick AF and for a daft price. Absolute steal for someone.

  • Yeah I'd be on this if I hadn't started building a mtb

  • Offer withdrawn. Apologies.

  • Struggling to find geometry sizing on this model, is this a 26" wheel version? The newer models come in different wheel sizes depending on frame size.
Edit: I'll come and see myself, Peckham is close. Sending PM.

  • Hey, thanks for all the messages.

  • This looks a belter of a bargain, dependent on condition of the usual bits. Too far for me in the current climate though. Someone snap this up! GLWS

  • Thats gonna be too big for me :( GLWS, this is a bargain!
