Dunno. All the Tamiya speedos come with Tamiya connectors obvs, but the battery you want probably will not.

Is only really prevalent in high discharge batteries and escs. Basically as novices fine to stick with Tamiya connectors.

Slightly less susceptible to melting, if your setup draws quite a few amps and esc and motor run hot then tamiya plugs can melt (the plastic bit).
Edit: and Deans have a larger contact surface area.
