  • It’s much more cardio than strength. Lift axe up and let gravity do the work. Or you can put more impetus into it. Gnarly lumps with loads of side branches are the real challenge as it means there are branches running through the log at 90 degrees to the grain of the wood, stopping it splitting open. Great to let out a little burst of energy.

    We joke that some people back in London are wannabe lumberjack redneck hipsters, where we have actually gone full hog and get to play at it, not just fancy dress.
