mudguard is doing fuck all
-
• #17509
Too true, Had one once, my arse and back were wet every time the road was. Waste of time, although I guess it saves anyone ding close behind the worst of it.

How come the mudguard is doing nothing? Because it stops short of the seatstay?
-
• #17512
Yes, you still get sprayed all up the back from the wheel, and because it doesn't cover too much of the wheel, anyone behind still gets a fair spraying as well. Useless things. I've still got one I think if you want to find out for yourself!?

Yup

Hiya mate, probably an amateur question but what chainring did you use on your Ultegra to make it single speed? Assume it’s 1 1/8th?
-
• #17518
It's the kind of small ring that comes with the chainset, installed on the inside where it'd usually be.
3/32 chainring, 1/8 chain and sprocket. Chain line is slightly off, but no problem, there's a little float with the chain being wider than the chainring.

My "ratty" Bianchi. The frame is pretty fucked and the crankset is ugly but it's the only one I got
