  • My first trip to southbank was prob 97-98 probably. Scary as fuck as a 13yr old grom amongst locals hooning around at full pelt.
I mostly just cruise to the shops these days but have waxed a curb out the front of my building and am using lockdown to try and relearn a few things. I’ve still got bs180s but can barely ollie. Doubt I’ll heelflip a 5set ever again but man can dream.
Just being able to hop up and down curbs again like a boss and get my boardslides back(I used to be able to slide pretty much every parking curb, ledge, shitty low wall etc in my home town) would be nice.
Braille skate vids on YouTube have some amazing instructional vids.

  • I remember heading there in probably 97/98 to ollie 'The south bank seven'. Hour or so trip in, went straight there, steps were the first thing i tried, landed it and snapped my board. Had a full day of sitting about smoking, watching my mates skate and occasionally getting a go on one of their boards.

Think I had that book, or one very similar too.
